Everybody has their favourite film or television star but not all of us will be lucky enough to meet them in person. So instead lots of avid fans will collect pieces of memorabilia associated with the favourite star in a bid to feel closer to them or just as a fun hobby. But how do you go about getting your idol's autograph? It may be that you don't live in the same country as them so it can be hard to be in a situation where you can obtain an autograph so you may want to think about writing to them. You will not get the instant gratification that a meeting in person will give you but if you are patient and you follow these simple tips you will be able to get the autograph you want.

 Firstly, you will need to search online for your favourite celebrity's mailing address. You can find fan mail addresses for all sorts of different types of celebrities quite easily on official websites. Most websites will have biographies and photographs of the star as well as their address so you can make sure that your knowledge is correct before writing your letter.

 It is more than likely that you will have to write a proper letter instead of an email to your favourite film star as they are more likely to respond to this form of mail. If you can type your letter up on a computer or make sure that you print it very neatly in a way that the celebrity can read it quite clearly. It is a good tip to include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your letter so that it is easier for the celeb to send you an autograph.

 If you are looking to get a Signed Photograph then you should include a photograph of the celebrity in with your letter. This will help to ensure that you get a Signed Photo as most celebrities do not send then out. Make sure you choose this picture carefully and try to get the best quality that you can for the best results.
